GDPR

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a piece of EU-wide legislation which determines how personal data is processed and kept safe. This regulation applies to organisations that processes or handles personal data, including schools. You will be aware of the Data Protection Act 1998 and this new legislation builds and strengthens on the principles of this and will be replaced by the Data Protection Bill. As a school we hold personal data relating to you and your child. This is held securely and is a legal requirement. Data plays a key part within today’s education system allowing us to monitor your child’s progress with accurate evaluation and evidence.

Every September, data sheets are sent home with each child for parents to complete and sign. Changes relating to GDPR will be reflected in these forms and until then any consents you have given will still apply. Should you wish to withdraw consent please contact the school office.

Please see our parent privacy notice below for further information.
