Walsham le Willows Church of England VC Primary School

We have close links with our Parish Church of St Mary's, Walsham le Willows.  Vicar Cat comes in regularly for Collective Worship and we visit the church at least once a term and hold our end of term services there; we also have visitors from the village Congregational Church.

SPLAT, (Special People Learning About Truth), is an after school club that runs in school weekly during term-time. It is an opportunity for everyone in year groups from 1-6 to come along to have some fun as we combine games, Bible stories, cooking and craft in a fun interactive way for everyone to discover more about God’s love. 

Regular visits to our parish church enrich our Religious Education curriculum and provide meaningful opportunities to celebrate the Christian calendar. Through worship and festival services, including Harvest, Remebrance, Christmas, Pentecost and Easter, pupils deepen their understanding of Christian beliefs, traditions, and the significance of faith within the local community.

All these activities enrich the life of the school. 

As a school, we produced a mosaic to show our school vision: 

"As God's children, each of us takes a unique path through life but where we spend our childhood we soak up community, goodness and knowledge; learning what we need for the future, and the fruit our lives will produce. Our Christian values enable us to become the best we can be."

We aim to inspire courageous advocacy and instil our Christian Values in the whole community. We have a long tradition of supporting a range of charities locally, nationally and globally at Walsham le Willows C of E Primary School with pupils, staff, governors, parents and carers actively coming together to make a difference to other peoples’ lives.

• Children in Need
• Donations to the Local Residential Care Homes 
• Shoe Box Appeal

We are pleased to work with community groups here in Walsham le Willows such as The History Group to gain valuable knowledge about our local heritage and The Wild Wood group who are creating green spaces for the wellbeing of all in the village.
