Christian Partners

We are very proud to be a Church of England School.  Throughout the year, we take part in activities led by St Edmundsbury Diocese.  These include activities in school, such as Pilgrims Progress with Year 6, activities at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral, such as Eco Day, and in our local church, such as Candlemas.  These activities are important to the life of the school and are strengthened by the partnership.

In addition to the activities that the children take part in, the Diocese provide support, guidance and training for our staff.

We have close links with our Parish Church of St Mary's, Walsham le Willows.  Rev Phillip Merry, ex-officio governor, leads services in church throughout the year as well as leading Collective Worship every Thursday on a fortnightly basis.

We have a team from Open the Book who lead Collective Worship fortnightly on a Monday.  In addition, Di Barker, Licensed Reader and foundation governor, from Open the Book, also leads Collective Worship on alternate Thursday to Rev Merry.  Tony Hood, from the High Street Chapel in Hopton, also leads Collective Worship for us.
