RE And Collective Worship

Collective Worship

Arrangements for the act of Collective Worship are made by the school in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act. Collective Worship is in accordance with the doctrine of the Church of England. Parents may, if they so wish, withdraw their children from the arrangements for worship. Such requests should be made to the Headteacher in writing.  As a Church of England School, our main themes are based around Christian values and we use the Values for Life Scheme for Collective Worship. We use stories from other religions so that children develop mutual respect for all religions and peoples living in our society.  In addition, visitors from the Congregational Church and Tony Hood lead acts of collective worship each term.
