At our school, Flourish Fridays are a special part of the week, giving children the opportunity to develop as confident, compassionate and responsible individuals. Rooted in our Christian vision, these sessions encourage pupils to discover new interests, inspire one another and grow in character, helping every child to flourish academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally.

A key part of Flourish Fridays is the work of our DIG (Discover, Inspire and Grow) Team. Made up of pupil leaders from across the school, the DIG Team plays an active role in promoting our Christian vision and ensuring that every member of our school community feels valued and included. They lead by example, welcome visitors, support collective worship, organise charitable initiatives and encourage acts of kindness throughout the school.

Collective Worship

Arrangements for the act of Collective Worship are made by the school in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act. Collective Worship is in accordance with the doctrine of the Church of England. Parents may, if they so wish, withdraw their children from the arrangements for worship. Such requests should be made to the Headteacher in writing.  As a Church of England School, our main themes are based around Christian values and we use the Values for Life Scheme for Collective Worship. We use stories from other religions so that children develop mutual respect for all religions and peoples living in our society.
