Considering one off issues and making recommendations to either Full Governing Body or appropriate Committee; drawn from those Governors and School Leadership with the appropriate skills

The governing body delegates the selection of staff outside the leadership group to one or more governors and Head Teacher acting together.

 

 

Chair of Governors and x 2 Foundation Governors with External Advisor changed every 3 years

Agendas should be set by the Committee Chair with the assistance of the Head.  Agendas should be issued in good time at least one week before the meeting by the Chair of the Committee.  All governors should receive the agendas regardless of whether they are on the committee or not. This way all governors are kept informed of what business is to be discussed.

Minutes from the meetings should be written within 5 working days and distributed to all Committee members by email for approval within 3 working days (non response will be classed as approval).  The approved minutes should be sent to the Chair of Governors who will send them to the Clerk of the FGB for approval at the next FGB Meeting and inclusion in the Minutes Book.

The Chair of Governors and the Head Teacher sit on both Committees with the rest of the Governors choosing a Committee most suited to their skills and interests.
